ADVOCACY & PARTNERSHIP OFFICER

(Manila Office | National Level)

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for developing and implementing programs to raise awareness, strengthening multi-sectoral support and increasing citizen engagement in the enactment and implementation of HB 4890, and creation of an OSEC Law.

Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

  1. Designs plans and implements advocacy strategies and campaigns for the project to achieve its policy goals;

  2. Initiates joint advocacy strategies and networking activities with other organizations, national and local government agencies to achieve the project’s policy goals;

  3. Oversee all creative inputs on project’s communications and publications, including website and/ or social media accounts, if any, to aid advocacy activities;

  4. Prepares position papers, policy briefings, presentations and other advocacy and communications materials for various audience types;

  5. Responds to inquiries and acts as spokesperson of the project during interviews, meetings and conferences, or release written communications, as may be designated by the Project Coordinator/Manager.

  6. Organizes seminars, workshops and special lectures and similar events to provide venue for advocacy and opportunity for partnership to systematize and harmonize OSEC prevention initiatives;

  7. Maps and engages with civil society networks, organizations and influential individuals for possible collaboration or partnership in advocacy, funding, or other forms of support for child protection initiatives.

  8. Performs other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

 

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Community Development, or other related Social Sciences

 

EXPERIENCE

At least one year related work experience.

 

SKILLS/TRAINING

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking

  • Proficient computer skills particularly with software applications like Word, PowerPoint, and related applications

  • Keen attention to details

  • Ability to effectively prioritize projects and multi-task

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Networking and link aging

  • Service oriented
